About Thevercad Homestay
I am happy to introduce my family to you. We are Syrian Christians and have been living in Kainakary for five generations now. My ancestors were basically farmers, mostly cultivating paddy, coconut, rubber, etc and I continue the family tradition.
The family has been traditionally associated with the famous snake boat races. My father, Late T J Thomas was the President of the local snake boat club for many years, under whom the club won the coveted Nehru trophy boat races and similar other races many a time. I am privileged to continue the legacy and am the team Captain of the local snake boat club.
My mother Mariamma and wife Bindu skillfully prepare the delicious meals, mostly traditional Kerala cuisine. We are blessed with four children, Thomas, Alex, Joseph and Maria, all students at the school level.
